Still Life Paintings
I don't believe in objects is a series of paintings that explores the modernist canon of still life. These paintings recreate domestic objects within a lyrical and semi-abstract context focused on the relationships between the objects that recursively appear in different dialogues. With this change of focus, the artist exposes the inner dialogue that she establishes with those objects, enhancing their emotional and poetic value, and transcending the domestic and decorative point of view.
“My artwork is a metaphor of nostalgia, and a reflection of the conversations I keep in my mind. I want to explore the materiality of these metaphors utilizing any subjects, materials and techniques that are at my hand.”
